In a serious and still unexplained event, a 45-year-old foreign woman managed to evade security and enter the Civic Center one Sunday, where the offices of the Government House of Córdoba operate.

Identified as Allison Lynn Gaiser, a native of Pennsylvania, United States, she is currently detained for the crime of theft and fraud.

Gaiser managed to access the 8th floor of the government building where there were several computers that he allegedly violated. He is also accused of stealing a cell phone inside the building known as “El Panal” and scamming several local taxi drivers for making trips and not paying the corresponding fares.

Despite the secrecy in the case, it was confirmed that Gaiser is collaborating with the US Embassy and with the Prosecutor’s Office headed by José Bringas. She is currently admitted to a neuropsychiatric hospital due to a psychotic break.

Allison is expected to be summoned by Bringas for questioning next week. Since she does not speak Spanish, she will be accompanied by a translator. Among the seized items is her personal phone, which is being analyzed by the Judicial Police.

The Prosecutor’s Office also requested information from the Federal Agency (FBI) to obtain more details about Gaiser and his possible background. There is still no clarity about the reasons that led this American citizen to enter the government building, nor what her objective was there.

As a result of this incident, there was a change in the security leadership of the Civic Center and several police officers were sanctioned.

Gaiser had been in Córdoba for at least a week before the incident that occurred on April 28, but entered the country through Ezeiza approximately a month ago.
