On June 20, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardovirtual president of Mexico, announced the first six members of his presidential cabinetwhich will correspond to the 2024-2030 six-year period and will be made up of three men and three women.

Among the names of the people who head the cabinets are:

  • Juan Ramón de la Fuente- Secretary of Foreign Affairs.
  • Rosaura Ruiz- Secretary of Sciences, Humanities, Technology and Innovation.
  • Alicia Bárcena-Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources.
  • Marcelo Ebrard- Secretary of Economy.
  • Ernestina Godoy- Legal advisor.
  • Julio Berdegué Sacristán- Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The virtual president reported that the next June 27th at 11:00 a.m. will announce the second part of his presidential cabinet in the Interactive Museum of Economics of the Mexico City.

“Next Thursday we will present six more people as part of our cabinet,” Sheinbaum Pardo said.

This June 25, the senator Olga Sánchez Cordero ruled out joining the cabinet virtual president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum, as she assured that since the Chamber of Deputies will help in the women’s issues.

“I’m going to the Chamber (of Deputies) because there I can also help Claudia (Sheinbaum) a lot,” she said when asked if she is ready to direct the National Women’s Institute in the next government.
