Yesterday, the Tucumán Tourism Entity was the scene of the press conference where the first edition of the Tucumán Book Fair was officially presented. The call had a notable attendance of personalities, authorities and media who showed their support for this new cultural initiative.

The Tucumán Book Fair will take place from June 6 to 16 at the Sociedad Rural de Tucumán and promises to be an unmissable event for all literature lovers. The program will include book presentations, talks with authors, workshops and activities for the whole family, consolidating itself as a celebration of the written word in all its forms. Among the featured writers, the presence of Felipe Pigna, Cecilia Cé, Sandra Siemens and Víctor Hugo Morales, among others, was confirmed.

Among those present were the organizers of the event, Diego Anchorena and Jorge García, who offered details about the programming and objectives of the fair. Anchorena highlighted the importance of the support of state agencies and the financial contribution of sponsors to make this event a reality, while García underlined the opportunity it represents to promote the habit of reading and cultural exchange in Tucumán.

Leonardo Tasca Leal, Vice President of Caledin (Chamber of Independent Booksellers and Writers of Argentina), expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the potential of the fair to position Tucumán as a literary reference in northern Argentina.

The conference was also attended by the Mayor of Monteros, Francisco Serra, and the Mayor of Famaillá, Enrique Orellana. Both officials highlighted the relevance of the fair for their communities and expressed their commitment to supporting and promoting the participation of local writers in the schedule of activities.

Sol Marino, Director of Promotion of the Tucumán Tourism Entity, was in charge of welcoming the attendees and thanking everyone who has contributed to making this first edition of the Book Fair possible. Marino highlighted the positive impact that the fair will have on cultural tourism in the province, attracting visitors and strengthening the cultural identity of Tucumán.
