SANTIAGO (Reuters) – The Chilean soccer team will play a friendly against the Paraguayan team in June without two of its historical figures, midfielder Arturo Vidal and defender Gary Medel, according to the list of 24 players presented on Friday by the coach of the “Red.”

Argentine strategist Ricardo Gareca, who took over the Chilean squad at the beginning of this year, made the call before the match on June 11 in Santiago, to prepare for the Copa América in the United States.

Among those called up are some of the team’s veterans such as forwards Alexis Sánchez and Eduardo Vargas, defender Mauricio Isla and goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, who won the 2015 Copa América.
