The century-old library holds more than 30,000 books, magazines, newspapers, bibliographies and archival material over 129 years of existence, located on 459 San Martín Street and located in the old town of the capital of Catamarca, it is one of the emblematic works by the architect Luis Caravati, built in 1873 to originally house the Graduate School for Boys.
The entity has operated in the building since May 25, 1895, representing a bastion of protection of the province’s documentary heritage since its bibliographic material is constantly consulted by researchers, teachers and the general public.
