This Friday, the Minister of Production, Labor and Innovation, Gustavo Fernández, was present at the Meeting for Regional Integration, organized by the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA). In this context, the San Juan official gave statements, in which he highlighted the importance of this activity.

“The idea of ​​the governors of Cuyo in general and Marcelo Orrego in particular of a necessary regional integration was reinforced,” said Fernández.

“This requires working together between the Nation and provinces to improve the connectivity and energy infrastructure to, with this, develop agroindustry, tourism, mining and renewable energies that will serve to increase the opportunities of our population and, nevertheless, give them to the country a tool for sustainable development,” he explained.

It should be noted that this meeting had as notable presences the governor of Mendoza, Alfredo Cornejo, the president of the UIA, Daniel Funes of Rioja, the presidents of the Industrial Union in Cuyo and the ministers of Production of Mendoza, Rodolfo Vargas Arizu and of San Luis.

According to the organizers, the regional meeting “arises within the framework of the May Pact initially proposed by the national government.”

Thus, the Argentine Industrial Union, the Industrial Unions of San Juan, San Luis, Neuquén and Mendoza, together with the Ministers of Production and/or Economy of the same provinces, agree on promoting regional work axes that make it possible to enhance production, the incorporation of technology, the increase in exports and the generation of more and better jobs.

Given this, the signatories agree:

1. Promote the creation of sustainable companies, highlight the importance of production as a vector of growth and development
2. Develop productive policies for the creation of quality registered and socially protected employment.
3. Incorporate education from the point of view of human capital, articulating between the productive and educational systems with the new technologies and professional skills that are required.
