The security forces are looking for a thirteenth accused of belonging to this gang, which operated in the Meiggs neighborhood and neighboring places in the capital’s commune of Estación Central.

Prosecutor Marcela Adasme indicated that this Friday the detention control hearing and formalization of charges began and a recess was declared until Monday with the aim of discussing the necessary precautionary measures.

The Association for the Development of the Meiggs Neighborhood was representing the injured parties and explained in detail the way the police acted.

Regarding the accusation of drug trafficking, this arose during the search of the home of two of the accused, where undisclosed quantities of ketamine, cocaine and marijuana were found.

Defense lawyer Óscar Carrasco asked for time to study the file, made up of six thousand pages, which, he said, was given to him an hour before the process began.
