The Minister of Human Development of Chubut, Elba Willhuber, assured that in the province there are “22 thousand families in an extreme state of vulnerability”, of which 938 are in different rural communes.

Willhuber made these statements to the press after participating in the official ceremony for May 25 held at School No. 112 in the city of Esquel.

On the occasion, the minister also referred to the Calor Plan and assured that they are working comprehensively with the municipalities and communes. “Today there is firewood in every home,” she said.

In this sense, the official highlighted that this year the provincial government granted the entire amount that was previously given in three installments in one go. “Firewood could be purchased throughout the territory and we are going to reinforce it in the coming months,” she said.

EMERGENCY IN DINING ROOMS AND FOOD PLAN

On the other hand, the official explained that work is being carried out together with municipalities and communes, to confirm the number of picnic areas and dining rooms that there are in the province and how many are registered with RENACOM.

“According to the census we did in Chubut, we have 168 picnic areas and dining rooms that are operating, 18 of which are registered with RENACOM,” reported Willhuber.

In this sense, he assured that in Chubut “there are around 22 thousand families that are in an extreme state of vulnerability, of which 938 families are in rural communes.”

Finally, the Minister of Human Development of Chubut reported that there will be an increase in the amount of the Social Card. “A re-registration is being done, 10% of the cards are now not charging the deposit,” she said.
