This Saturday around 7:30, a young mother lost her life after violently hitting a tree on Chacabuco Street, between Calle 8 and 9, in the Fifth Barracks of Pocito. After Criminalistics experts worked in the area, they announced that the fatal victim Ximena Samanta De Mula (29) was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the strong crash.
They also confirmed that the incident occurred in the vicinity of the entrance to the Quinto Cuartel neighborhood and that it is still a matter of investigation, what happened that moment in which he lost control of the Renault Clio and crashed into a eucalyptus tree. They also reported that they did not find any braking marks or skidding in the area prior to the impact.
For their part, they interviewed his family environment, who explained that from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. he was at a barbecue among family and friends but stated that “he had not consumed alcoholic beverages excessively, and that he was fine at the time of leaving.” Finally, through police personnel and firefighters, they confirmed that the young mother of a 6-year-old girl was not wearing a seat belt.
