The José Vicente Zapata school held the Second Emotions and Mental Health Hackathon – mendoza.edu.ar

With the aim of reflecting and discussing mental health, emotions and the life project, different secondary educational institutions met under the Hackathon format at the capital school; where students interacted and experienced significant learning.

This Friday, in the facilities of school No. 4-001 José Vicente Zapata, in the capital, led by Claudio Peña, the second Hackathon of the emotions and mental health, an initiative organized by the capital school, who received managers, teachers and students from educational institutions in the public, private and dependent sectors of the National University of Cuyo.

Within the framework of this Hackathon, the Mayor of the City, Ulpiano Suárez, together with members of the Deliberative Council, delivered the declaration of Municipal Legislative Interest to the 13th Edition of the “Light, Camera and Inclusion Festival” to the school authorities. It was also attended by the government secretary of the Municipality of the city of Mendoza, Pablo Espina, and the provincial senator, Sergio Márquez.

On this occasion, the participating educational institutions were: the Nadino Institute PS-039; the Martín Zapata School of Commerce; technique No. 4-111 Engineer Pablo Nogués; No. 4-154 Dr. Salvador Mazza; No. 4-046 Engineer Julio Krause; the Department of Teaching Application (DAD) and No. 4-001 José Vicente Zapata; who spoke about stress, bullying, the importance of the life project and an observatory on mental health.

It should be noted that the Hackthon is an intensive and collaborative event in which several people, with different profiles and skills, come together to address and solve specific problems. In this sense, the meeting was very enriching and motivating, an experience that contributed to expanding the knowledge of the participating students from the different contexts and schools, who listened, debated, reflected and proposed solutions from their ages and thus improve the different situations that occurred. presented in schools related to emotions and Mental Health.
