On Monday morning, police personnel carried out a procedure in the Estanislao López neighborhood (also known as La Gran China), more precisely in a “workshop/breakdown” located at Piedrabuena 5900 where they found 25 to 30 stolen motorcycles and more than 250 parts of motorcycles, including wheels, fenders, bars and engines.

Strictly speaking, the agents arrived at the scene after receiving a notice from CE 911 reporting people stealing items from a home.

Shortly after arriving, the uniformed officers observed an open window in a building and, upon looking out, noticed that there were a large number of motorcycles and motorcycle parts inside.

Through the domain verification system, they verified that several of the motorcycles, engines and motorcycle parts present in the property had requests for kidnapping for theft.

The parts and vehicles found were in various conditions.

The parts and vehicles found were in various conditions, ready to be sold or used on the black market for auto parts. The PDI is now in charge of the investigations to clarify the origin of the motorcycles and other items.

In this context, a 22-year-old individual was arrested, who first said he was of Brazilian nationality. Later it was found that in the area he is known as “the Colombian.”

“A large number of motorcycles and parts have been found that we suspect were stolen in recent weeks,” reported a police source.

Neighbors who have recently been victims of motorcycle theft can visit the police headquarters to verify if their vehicles or parts are among the recovered items.

Shortly, personnel from the Automotive division will transport all the seized motorcycles for examination and eventual return to their legitimate owners.
