Hitmen aboard a motorcycle chased a man and shot him with a firearm that caused his death in a rural area of the municipality of Zona Bananera, Magdalena.
The victim responded to the name of Valeny González, 29 years old, originally from Venezuela, but resident in the town of Guacamayal, where he earned his daily living as a motorcycle taxi driver, according to his close neighbors.
The attack took place in the El Mamón village of the town of Riofrío, at the entrance of a house where the victim was at the time of the events.
According to preliminary information from the Police, two individuals on a motorcycle arrived at the place in question and the one who was acting as a barbecue grill took out a 9mm caliber pistol and hit him twice at the level of the chest and extremities, and then fled. After being hit, the Venezuelan tried to call for help but fell to the ground a few meters from the attack.
Residents of the sector who heard the explosions approached him in order to help him, but he was already dying and they notified the authorities.
Moments later, the officials of the Mobile Criminalistics Laboratory of the Criminal Investigation Section (Sijín) were informed to carry out the urgent acts and judicial inspection of the corpse, which was transferred to the Morgue of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences of this town. .
