The Minister of Security and Justice of Salta, Marcelo Ramon Dominguez, represents the province at the II Meeting of the Internal Security Council that takes place in Mendoza. The opening was led by the Minister of National Security, Patricia Bullrich, his peers from Justice, Mariano Cúneo Libarona and from Defense, Luis Petri. Those responsible for security portfolios from across the country participate.
They address issues related to security in border areas, joint work with provincial police in terms of prevention, investigation and logistics, chemical precursors, Digital Ring, among other topics of common interest.
In this context, the Federal Security Council at Sports Events was formed. Minister Domínguez signed the accession agreement with the Minister of National Security. He was accompanied by the Chief of Police of the Province, Miguel Ceballos and the Deputy Chief, Pablo Vilte.
The Council’s mission will be to plan and coordinate the actions inherent to the security measures that will be applied at massively attended sporting events through joint work between the Nation and the Provinces.
The objective is the development of public policies that optimize security at sporting events throughout the country through cooperation and articulation as appropriate by jurisdiction.
The agreement promotes joint actions to optimize human, technological and operational resources. In addition, generate mechanisms that facilitate access and exchange of information on the matter through a network of contacts between the actors involved due to competition.
Within this framework, training work projects will be implemented on the different interventions that are carried out from the preventive phases to those required by violent behavior.
The Federal Security Council at Sports Events will be made up of an Assembly chaired by the Ministry of National Security and representatives of the security portfolios of the provinces. There will also be an Executive Committee that will analyze and manage compliance with the resolutions of the Assembly. It will be made up of representatives from the Ministries of Security from across the country, from the National Sports areas and from the provincial governments, sports associations and/or federations, among other public or private organizations.
Participating in the meeting are the governor of Mendoza, Alfredo Cornejo, the Executive Secretary of the Internal Security Council, Iván Velasco, the Secretary of Federal Security Articulation, Néstor Majul, the Minister of Security of Mendoza, Mercedes Rus, and authorities from the different jurisdictions of the country.
