The authorities captured in Villa Rica, Cauca, alias ‘Irra’, alleged leader of urban support networks of the Jaime Martínez structure of the EMC of the Farc.
The person involved was on the most wanted poster in the city. National Policeimplicated in the murder of social leaders and human rights defenders in the north of Cauca.
The support networks of which the captured person would be part would be responsible of the commission of at least 25 homicides.

The National Police stated that “among the victims of ‘Irra’ and that structure would be 5 social leaders, including Edison Murillo Ararat and his bodyguard, Yeifer Medina Chivata, 3 Afros and an indigenous person, facts presented in Santander de Quilichao, Buenos Aires and Caloto.”
According to National Army, in the criminal history of alias ‘Irra’ also “It would include the terrorist attack with unconventional explosives against the Santander de Quilichao military base.”
The authorities pointed out that the capture of alias ‘Irra’ is the result of inter-institutional actions in the Cauca region, impacting the criminal actions of armed groups outside the law.
