A new criminal attack was reported by the Cali Metropolitan Police during the morning of this Monday, June 3, 2024, where two children aged 6 and 8 died while traveling in a vehicle in the Poblado Campestre sector, in the Valle del Cauca.
According to the authorities, the minors were in the vehicle when hitmen traveling on two motorcycles opened fire on the driver and several projectiles from the firearm hit the children who lost their lives.
In the midst of this criminal attack, the driver was seriously injured and is receiving specialized medical care at a healthcare center in the area, where this criminal act that generated panic was recorded.
“Some people traveling in a vehicle are attacked with a firearm. According to the information we have established, this vehicle provided the informal transportation service and transported the adult and two minors, who, due to the attack, were injured, who were immediately transferred to a nearby medical center, but due to the severity Fewer people die from their injuries,” the officer explained.
