This Sunday, June 2, a tragic discovery shocked the towns of Viale and Seguí, when a Ford Fiesta vehicle was found overturned under a bridge on provincial route 32, which connects both cities. Inside the car, police personnel discovered the lifeless body of a 45-year-old man, originally from Viale. The body was transferred to the judicial morgue to perform the corresponding autopsy.
The search for the missing
The head of the Seguí police station, Mauro Sommer, explained that the intervention of tactical divers from the Special Operations Corps (COE) was necessary to rescue the man’s body, which could not be removed from inside the vehicle by conventional methods. “As we were unable to remove the body from inside the car, we called in tactical divers from the COE, who found a lifeless person. This is a 45-year-old man from the town of Viale,” Sommer confirmed.
The commissioner explained that the deceased was found by his own brother, who had been desperately searching for him since Thursday, when he disappeared from his house without a trace. The intensive search began yesterday Sunday when the family, concerned about his absence, alerted the authorities.
The fatal journey
According to initial information, the man had traveled from Viale to Seguí on Thursday to visit a friend. On his return, he would have suffered the fatal accident that ended his life. The exact circumstances of the accident are still being investigated.
rescue operation
Sapper firefighters from Seguí and Paraná, together with operators from the Seguí electricity cooperative, worked hard this Monday to remove the Ford Fiesta, which remained submerged under the bridge. The operation required the use of a crane due to the difficult position the vehicle was in.
Ongoing investigation
Authorities continue to investigate the causes of the accident and the reasons that led the man to deviate from his route. The results of the autopsy and the analysis of the vehicle could shed light on what happened.
