On May 30 – three days after the discovery of Julia Horn’s body – the German Consulate sent a letter to San Juan thanking the collaboration of Justice and the entire society that participated in the search operation for the young German woman. .

The letter, signed by the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany, Andreas Vollmer, is addressed in the first instance to the members of the Fiscal Investigation Unit of San Juan. The letter begins by saying: “As representatives of the Federal Republic of Germany in Argentina, we deeply regret the sad news confirming the death of the German citizen Julia Horn.”

The text then states: “We would like to highlight the solidarity of the entire San Juan society and of each citizen who voluntarily participated generously and actively in the search, but above all we want to greatly thank the Fiscal Unit for the Investigation of San Juan, especially to its prosecutors who were present from the first moment and every day.”

In this sense, the consulate highlights and appreciates the actions of Attorney General Eduardo Quattropani, and prosecutors Iván Augusto Grassi, Francisco Michel Torena, Daniela Pringles, and Ignacio Achem.

In addition, he thanks “each of his collaborators for their availability, generosity and professionalism with which they carried out the search and rescue operation.” “We are filled with admiration for all her effort, work and affection,” states the gratitude, which is also shared by Julia’s parents.
