Atlántico, runner-up of the National Under-15 Championship
The Atlantic U-15 Team closed its great participation in the National Interleague Soccer Championship this Monday in Cartagena with the runner-up position, after losing against Antioquia 5-3 in the penalty shootout, after tying 0-0 in the final played in the Jaime Morón stadium.
During the first half, both teams had a good opportunity each to score. Antioquia had it in the 27th minute with a right hand from Feder Rivas that crashed into the left vertical.
In the next play the Atlanticenses responded, with a left-footed shot by Miguel Agámez that went slightly wide.
The complementary stage was also closed, the scoreboard did not move and again these teams had to go to the white point to define the title, like two years ago in Barranquilla.
This time fortune was on the side of the Antioquians, who got all their payments right. In addition, their goalkeeper Jerónimo Sepúlveda saved one.
The Atlantic thing is historic, as it played its third straight final in this category, in which it came from two titles in a row, defeating precisely the Antioqueños in 2022 and Valle del Cauca in 2023.
