The mayor of the city of Santa Fe, Juan Pablo Poletti asked the Council to open the discussion on Uber and its possible legalization along with other travel platforms. The news emerged last Friday and was made official this Monday with the announcement by the Executive that it will send a project to the deliberative body.

As reported by journalist Ivana Fux (Radio 2), that statement became a formal announcement this Monday that a project to regulate them will be sent to the commissions.
It should be noted that, although Uber is the best-known and most controversial travel platform, there are others such as Maxim or Cabify that also operate irregularly in that city.
Poletti’s goal is advance regulations in line with what happened last week in Paraná, where the use of platforms was regulated and Uber was thus legalized. “If there are other cities that were able to do it, we are looking at how to make it a fair competition; “Someone pays taxes and has certain regulations and others don’t,” he said in statements to El Litoral.
