The Martí Youth Movement (MJM) will accredit its members as researchers and promoters of the work and thought of José Martí. The Holguín territory will be the first in the country to deliver the cards, an action that constitutes a significant step in the organization of membership.

Carrying a card as members of Martí’s vanguard has always been the desire of the members of this organization. It has even been intended on several occasions, but it has remained a dream to come true, commented Reynaldo Zaldívar, president of the MJM in the province.

This dream conceived by the members of the organization becomes a reality. 35 years after the movement was created, Holguín takes this initiative that represents formal recognition of the work of young people. The delivery ceremony will be held on June 26 on the stage of the Provincial Seminar of Marti Studies and in commemoration of the birth of the young patriot Pedro Díaz Coello.

“Carrying an identification as members of the Martí vanguard is the desire of the members of the MJM and in Holguín we join the call of the national president Orlando Ernesto Pérez Núñez, to renew the structures and take initiatives in favor of the organization.”

Zaldivar also explained that the territory has worked hard to identify young people who promote the work of the Apostle and have the moral requirements to belong to this family and a card will be the gateway to formal recognition and validation of their work as an advanced ideology of the homeland.

This youth movement brings together Cuban children, adolescents and young people who do not exceed 35 years of age to promote the study and legacy of the life and work of José Martí.
