The incident occurred last Saturday morning in the Villa del Prado neighborhood of Pitalito, when workers carrying out garbage collection ran over a canine that was on the street with the compactor vehicle.
“The canine was involuntarily run over by our compactor vehicle due to the blind spots in this type of truck that do not allow full visibility. We regret that this has happened and that the deceased dog was found loose in the streets, which does not guarantee the safety of the canine,” he said in an Interaseo statement.
This event led to a violent attack against the workers of the cleaning service company. Well, the owners of the animal, angered by the death of the dog, apparently took out weapons and shot at the employees who were carrying out their work.
“It is unfortunate that after an event that was not premeditated, the owners of the dog have threatened our operators with traumatic weapons and firearms, fortunately without any major events to regret,” added the company.
Finally, Interaseo urged the authorities to advance the respective investigations of the case.
