Manuel Berrabetter known as Manoloachieved a record from its validity that seemed impossible to beat. He passed the barrier of 280 games in Cipolletti in federal tournaments and became the player with the most appearances in history above Henry Homann.
The captain was recognized in the preview of the match with Sansinena and visited the studios of RN Radio in an extensive talk at «Get on the Podium» (Monday to Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.).
«In the last game last year in Monte Maíz they asked me if I was going to continue because I was five games away from the record, I didn’t know. Regarding the fact of playing Federal A at 42 years old, Berra commented: «In some cases they underestimate me because of my age but as the training goes on they realize that one is on par and does not give anything away. I have legs of 42 but a head of 20. If they are in good shape you can give yourself those luxuries because I think it is a luxury to continue competing in high performance at the age I am, I have faith until the last day.
«Me, Facu Crespo and Damián Jara have had to start from behind in some championships but We end up showing that we are up to the task and we put our hearts into difficult moments. The knowledge we have of the club and the category gives us an advantage,” he added.
Despite the irregular campaign, the captain was complimentary of the coach, Gustavo Noto. «He is mainly a good person. When there are good people you always support them. Works a lot and I think that is going to work,” he said.
