The municipal Administration of Nariño, in agreement with the Secretariat of Physical Infrastructure of Antioquia, is advancing the construction work of 560 meters of footprint plate, works that are carried out directly by the community, through invitations. Work is progressing on the road that leads from the headwaters to the El Palmar, Santa Rosa and El Jazmín villages.

This is the first project of this type for the Mayor’s Office, led by the lawyer, Erika Cardona Pérez, who in her campaign placed great emphasis on the importance of serving tertiary roads, taking into account that 70% of the population of Nariño lives in the countryside “with the construction of the footprint plate we benefit our farmers, improving their quality of life and guaranteeing better access to the rural area so that the countryside flourishes,” said the president.

He reported that the greatest urgency that Nariño now has is to finish the work on the Hospital, since the healthcare center has not been certified by the Department of Health and Social Inclusion of the department, due to the precarious conditions of the infrastructure. The designs are already in place to renovate the hospital, a project that requires an investment of 8,000 million pesos and for which the Mayor is taking steps with the Ministry of Health and the Department, so that they co-finance the work in the shortest possible time.
