The extensive list of layoffs in the ANFP grew during the afternoon of this Monday: Alex Castro, coach of the Red women’s Under 17 team, was dismissed by the institution. DT himself confirmed it on his social networks.
“Every beginning has an end. This great path and process ends with the Selection… I thank all the people who trusted my work: my coaching staff of great professionals, the entire staff, their different support areas and all the staff of the Football Federation for their respect and dedication,” the coach wrote.
“I thank all the teams that I have been able to coach, we surely contribute to making them the competitive future of our teams. My eternal gratitude “dwarves”, thank you for your commitment and loyalty to the game. It has been an honor and a privilege, I wish you the best and long live Chile,” Castro added on his Instagram.
The aforementioned strategist took office in February 2020 thanks to a positive campaign in Santiago Morning. Two years later he had the opportunity to lead La Roja in the Under 17 World Cup in India and now it is his turn to close the cycle.
