Cienfuegos, June 3 (RHC) The Meteorological Center of this central and southern city undertakes a National Project, the Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Program through which they provide training workshops to the Agriculture Sector, strengthening capacities.
The institution’s Science, Technology and Environment Specialist, Ana Ivis Uribarray, explained that they also make an updated Aero Climate Map of the province, with the new standard and scenarios, in addition to offering articles and services to agricultural producers.
That they become aware of the behavior of climate change and adapt to current situations is the premise of the Project that will be completed during the current year 2024, added Leny Fuentes, Specialist in Applied Metrology at the Cienfuegos Meteorological Center.
It is part of the World Environment Day Day, which takes place with the slogan Our Earth focused on desertification and drought.
The provincial ceremony will take place this Monday at the José Gregorio Martínez Oleohydraulic Company.
