The regional government of Tarapacá is the region with the lowest budget execution at the national level with 6.8% of the budget for the year, below the national average which is 17.2%, according to data provided by the Budget Directorate , Dipres, corresponding to the month of April

It is worth remembering that in the month of March the region was also the region with the worst budget performance with 2.2%.

The data provided by Dipres highlights that the Regional Government of Tarapacá in the month of April 2023 had executed 23.8%, equivalent to $13,301,519. million whose total budget was $55,943,349 million

This year the Regional Government has a budget of $66,586,537 million and has only executed $4,516,757 million until April, equivalent to 6.8% of the budget execution.

At the national level, the regions with the highest expenditure execution are: the Los Lagos region with 28.9%, equivalent to $30,554,333 million pesos; The Magallanes region follows with an execution of 24.1%, whose amount is $16,337,245 million, Biobío continues with 20.7% equivalent to $23,011,518 million; and the Arica and Parinacota region with an execution of 19.7%, the amount of which is $10,166,894 million.

Meanwhile, the regions of the northern macrozone, their execution is above double digits. In Antofagasta, budget execution in the month of April of this year was 17.7% (20,210,001 million pesos), while in the Atacama region, spending in the month of April was 15.4% (13,257 .525 million pesos)
