The Olympic qualification process for MTB cycling has ended and the International Cycling Union (UCI) confirmed the assignment of an Olympic place for Colombia, in the Cross Country modality (men).

This assignment is a new numerical quota for the Colombian Cycling Federation, which is why it must confirm the nominal selection of the athlete who will represent the country at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Prior to this new quota, the last allocation was for track cycling after the confirmation of the International Cycling Union on May 14, regarding obtaining a new numerical Olympic quota in the speed modality – male keirin, this ticket was It joined those already achieved by Martha Bayona (keirin – speed), Kevin Quintero (keirin – speed) and the also numerical ones of male omnium and keirin – female speed.

In this way, national cycling now has 9 numerical places for this Olympic event in its different modalities of track cycling, road cycling and MTB cycling.
