In common agreement with the Association of Auctioneers, the Government decided to postpone the public auction of vehicles that was going to take place next weekend.

The measure was announced this Monday by the Secretary of Public Ethics and Management Control, Ricardo Bazla, the president of the College, María Elena de Tamayo, the vice president, Marina Rizzotto, and the director of the Automotive Park, Horacio Del Percio.

Finally it will be on Saturday, July 6, starting at 9 at the verification plant in the city of San Luis.

“The verification plant has already received 1,500 visits from people who observed the vehicles prepared for the auction and we noticed that many people, both from San Luis and neighboring provinces, asked us for a longer period of time to complete these visits. And to that is added a very specific practical issue that has to do with the perception of the bonus, which will allow equality between offerors to be guaranteed. Not only those with deeper pockets will have their chance, but also those with income limited to a salary, so we decided to postpone the auction that is aimed at the entire population,” Balza explained.

He added that “about 300 more requests were also received on the social networks enabled for this purpose.”

The new date will allow us to expand the base of bidders at the auction and achieve the Government’s goal. “The objective we pursue is to increase revenue. Obtain the greatest amount of resources so that the Government can buy new vehicles,” the official clarified.

In relation to visits to the property, he indicated that they will resume on Monday, June 24 until July 4. “There will be one free day (July 5) that we will use to arrange everything and see the details prior to the event,” he said.

194 lots will be auctioned, consisting of 348 (trucks, cars, utility vehicles) and 32 motorcycles.

“The documentation is in perfect condition and we can provide it to the citizens so that they can make their transfer correctly,” added Del Percio, when asked about the number of units planned for auction.

Rizzotto, meanwhile, referred to the conditions in which these units are found: “It is very important that you take into account that the vehicles that are going to be auctioned are in disuse, they are units that are missing some parts or that have been been crashed. That’s why the bases are low.”

The payment method is established and Bazla was in charge of explaining it: “I am going to give an example, if the lot is sold for one million pesos, the buyer has to deposit at least 30% as a deposit, that is, 300,000 pesos. If he wants to deposit all or 50%, there is no problem. To that is added what is established by law, which is the percentage that corresponds to the College of Auctioneers, which is 10%, and to that is added the 0.6% that has to do with a provincial tax of the Directorate of Public Revenue. And then the remaining 70% is paid, either in cash or through transfer, starting on the Monday or Tuesday following the auction. That is to say, if someone buys at the auction for a million pesos they will end up paying 1,106,000 pesos,” said the Secretary, and clarified that “payment is possible through foreign currency, specifically dollars and euros at the exchange rate. of the day before the auction date.” (ANSL)
