The extratropical cyclone that approaches Chile could leave some small raindrops in Santiago, in addition to causing different consequences in other regions of the country.
As CHV meteorologist Allison Göhler explained, there is an atmospheric river that “it comes with a lot of humidity” and it is categorized on scale 4, meaning it could be “dangerous because it comes with a lot of moisture.”

Allison pointed out that this phenomenon will bring strong winds, swells, very intense showers at times and electric storms.
“And it is not ruled out that also, within those same regions that are on alert (Maule, Ñuble and Biobío) due to strong winds and heavy rainfall, a waterspout, some tornado”, he explained.

Furthermore, he announced that in two days “we could have over 100 mm in these areas”. “They will be around “five days of rain from Maule to the south”he added.
