After five months of Javier Milei’s Government, the provinces continue without dialogue with the Human Capital portfolio and food expires in warehouses. The dining rooms and picnic areas are the main victims of this management.

After the statement signed and announced by the Ministers of Social Development of different provinces, where they asked the Minister of Human Capital of the Nation, Sandra Pettovello, to convene them with the aim of developing “an agile schedule for the delivery of food”, the Minister of Development, Equality and Social Integration of La Rioja, Alfredo Menem warned that, after five months, the provinces receive “zero assistance from the Nation.” Following a request for access to public information made by El Destape, it was learned that, in the midst of the crisis that hits the most vulnerable families in Argentina, the Government of Javier Milei retains almost 2.8 million kilos of food in the Villa Martelli operational center and another 2.3 million in Tafí Viejo. The sum of both deposits gives a total that exceeds 5 million kilos. In dialogue with El Destape Radio, Minister Menem expressed: “They do not know, nor do they know, the situation in Argentina, because they only came to adjust and improvise in a country that they were not capable of receiving.” Asked about the percentage of food destined for each province, the Rioja official assured that there were no exact figures, but rather that they were automatic shipments that were paralyzed since the arrival of the libertarian Government. «It was automatic for the provinces to receive food for the dining rooms and picnic areas. “We received emergency funds to purchase supplies, to assist families in vulnerable situations,” he explained.
