This Monday afternoon, Thousands of women marched through the central streets of Neuquén capital in a new edition of Ni Una Menosagainst sexist violence, other slogans that are in line with the times we live in: adjustment, hunger and the policies of President Javier Milei.
Starting at 5:00 p.m., thousands of people began to gather at the San Martín monument with posters, headbands, makeup, and scarves to protest against violence against women. Before the mobilization began, artistic and musical interventions were carried out.
After 5:30 p.m., about seven blocks of protesters began the journey singing the slogan “for those girls who did not return, we are going to take over the streets.” In addition, posters could be seen demanding supplies to canteens and spaces of social organizations such as the soup kitchens.
They also said that they will continue to fight for the Gender Emergency, because 2023 was one of the critical years for violence against women in Neuquén, because it was one of the provinces where there were the most femicides.
