Within the framework of a new day of mobilizations by the “Not one less” collective, left-wing leader Manuela Castañeira took aim at Javier Milei’s government for enabling violence with its hate speech. She thus referred to the triple lesbicide in Barracas that claimed the lives of Roxana, Andrea and Pamela.

“Hate speeches were circulating by the government, such as the disastrous statements of Nicolás Márquez, Milei’s biographer. The violence of words that Milei and his officials and associates constantly resort to precede the violence of the facts. And here indeed The facts are there. We also repudiate that the government’s response, in the mouth of its spokesperson Adorni, was to deny that it was a lesbicide, a hate crime. So this 3J we come out to respond for Pamela, for Andrea and for Roxana, and also for Sofía, and we hold Milei and her government responsible,” he stated. From 4 p.m., the Las Rojas group will participate in the mobilization for “Not one less” from Av de Mayo and Sáenz Peña towards Congress.

Castañeira added: “On 3J we also took to the streets against Milei’s war plan that hits women and LGBT people hardest. In that sense, we reject in its entirety the reactionary Basic Law that includes a very aggressive labor counter-reform against workers that, among other measures, would force pregnant women to work up to 10 days before giving birth and a pension counter-reform that makes 9 out of 10 women cannot retire in Argentina. That is why we will mobilize on the day when it is discussed in the Senate and, so that everyone can go, we demand that the CGT and the CTAs call for a general strike with mobilization for that day.”
