VIDEO. Like a movie! This is how the Empress 2816 locomotive arrived at SLP from Canada

After several months of waiting, the steam train Empress 2816 arrived yesterday in the state of San Luis Potosí, where it could be seen in several municipalities, such as Station Fourteen, Moctezuma and finally, in the potosina capitalwhere it will remain until tomorrow, June 4to leave for the Mexico City.

In the capital of San Luis Potosidozens of people waited next to the railway tracks to be able to see this magnificent steam locomotive, which, on social networks, it has been pointed out that it resembles the train of Hogwartsfrom the saga of Harry Potter or of Polar Express.

Yesterday, around 6:30 in the afternoon, it could be seen in various points in the northern part of the city, where people of all ages were excitedly waiting to see the Empress. Even in videos shared on social networks, people can be seen cheering and applauding the arrival of the locomotive, which produced the sound of its characteristic whistle.

The locomotive will remain in the state capital for two days, due to machine maintenance issues, in order to continue in optimal conditions towards its final destination, which is Mexico City.

However, the room that the locomotive will occupy in San Luis Potosi It will not be for exhibition, which has disappointed the population of Potosí, because in the country’s capital, the company Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) if he will make the train available for public admiration.

As stated on the Facebook page “Cazatrenes San Luis Potosí”, the Empress will depart around 6 in the morning towards its final destination. Currently, as fans of this portal have pointed out, the locomotive is currently in the Kansas City workshops on November 20th Street.
