Comprehensive Health Day benefited indigenous communities in the state of Amazonas – MPPS

MPPS Press.- The State Health Directorate (DES), directed by the sole health authority, Dr. Joskany La Rosa, committed to providing the best care to the Amazonian people and the indigenous communities, carried out a comprehensive approach in the Maroa municipality, serving the inhabitants of difficult access with free health days without intermediaries.

The deployment to this municipality lasted approximately 3 days from the city of Puerto Ayacucho, to provide care to hard-to-reach communities with general consultation care, immunization, dentistry, epidemiological surveillance, STI – HIV/AIDS testing, care for the disabled, maternal route, environmental health with malaria testing, and medication delivery.

This river deployment was attended by health personnel from the General Directorate of Indigenous, Intercultural Health and Complementary Therapies, coordinated by Dr. Freddy Pérez, who, thanks to the public policies of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, continues to guarantee health access in the indigenous communities of the Amazonas state.
