Two young people from Armenia were murdered in Mocoa, Putumayo –

Until today afternoon, the lifeless bodies of the two men were in Forensic Medicine in the municipality of Mocoa.

Two young people from Armenia, who had participated in a motorcycling event in Puerto Asís, were murdered upon arriving in Mocoa, Putumayo.

According to the commander of the Putumayo Police Department, Colonel Wilson Barrios, the victims, identified as Andrés Felipe Nieto Rojas and Brayan Steven Escobar Bravo, arrived from Armenia, Quindío, to participate in the motorcycling competition that took place this Sunday, June in Puerto Asís, Putumayo.

On their way back to the Quindian capital, they were intercepted by individuals on a motorcycle on the Villagarzón Mocoa road, near the Caliyaco village bridge. One more person was injured in the attack.

The National Police reported that the tragic event occurred around 10 pm on Sunday, June 2. According to Colonel Barrios, “it is a vehicle that was traveling from Puerto Asís and was intercepted by at least two motorcycles that were following it. The vehicle was intercepted near Mocoa and that is where the hitman incident occurred.”

The Judicial Police units are investigating the background of the victims and any possible situation that occurred in Puerto Asís to clarify the facts.
