This holiday Monday, the shot bodies of the man and woman found on the previous Sunday morning in different trails in the municipality of Baranoa, in the center of the department of Atlántico, were identified.
The first to be identified was the 18-year-old girl, who responded to the name of Enelvia Rosa Altamar Rangel, a resident of the municipality of Santo Tomás and mother of a small child.
She lived with her relatives in the 20 de Julio neighborhood of the Tomasina town and, according to testimonies on social networks, the young woman was associated as a barrista for Junior de Barranquilla.
It should be remembered that his body was found by residents on the La Tomatera trail, which leads to the Sibarco district.
There, in the middle of the road, the lifeless body of the woman who was wearing fuchsia pants and a yellow blouse lay lying on the sand. Next to it was a backpack.
Apparently, Enelvia Rosa had been spending the previous Friday and Saturday with friends in a house in Malambo, and disappeared from there. That day, apparently, she was accompanied by an individual, unknown to her family, but later the version was put forward that she could be the same person who was found dead that same Sunday on another trail in the municipality of Baranoa.
This man was identified as Edgardo Pereira, 18 years old, and his body was found on the Las Américas trail, on the way to the Las Palmitas village. The body, with a bullet wound to the head, was seen an hour after Altamar Rangel’s body was found.
Preliminarily, it was revealed that the young man resided in the La Sierrita neighborhood, in the southwest of Barranquilla.
After the identification of the bodies, the Atlántico Police, especially members of the Sijín, try to establish the motives for this bloody event that has been strange for the inhabitants of the municipality of Baranoa.
This medium learned that the hypothesis of a possible case of femicide and the subsequent suicide of the young man has not been ruled out.
But there are also versions that could link third parties in this bloody event, and that the young couple was the victim of an attempted robbery by local residents.
One of the questions that investigators must answer is how the bodies of the young people arrived at the places where they were found by residents.
Yesterday, members of the Sijín criminal investigation group traveled to the area again to carry out a new collection of evidentiary material that will clarify these crimes. “The investigation will produce the results to indicate whether it is the same case or isolated cases,” it was reported.
