Students from the Federico Santa María Technical University invite a talk on leadership in the former Valparaíso Stock Exchange

· The meeting, organized by fourth-year students of Commercial Engineering taking the subject “People Management”, will take place on Friday, June 21.

In the contemporary business world, leadership is gaining ground over traditional management. Management and human resources experts agree that, to foster a productive and healthy work environment, companies must focus more on leadership than simply management. ‘

It is in this context that fourth-year students of Commercial Engineering taking the subject “People Management”, taught by Professor Sergio Muñoz, have organized a meeting to delve into the topic, aimed at the community.

“The way of developing companies has totally changed; Considering workers only as a factor of production is completely obsolete. Now, good personnel management is one of the most important factors of successful companies; Understanding and comprehending these strategies is the key to development and this conference is the perfect opportunity for students in training, workers and professionals to do so,” explained the general manager of the event, Catalina Palma.

Specifically, topics such as “Emotional intelligence in personnel management”, “Leadership in multinational environments” and “Agile project management and effective leadership” will be addressed at the meeting that will be held on Friday, June 21 in the old building and first trading exchange in the country, located on the corner of Prat and Urriola streets in Valparaíso, with free entry.

The dialogue will be led by speakers specialized, all professionals in the areas of Industrial Civil Engineering, Psychology and Electrical Civil Engineering: Andrés Alonso (Senior Project Manager at Antofagasta Minerals and Member of the H2 Chile Board of Directors), Germán Vargas (Project and Development Manager at BanChile Inversiones) and Carolina Zapata (Psychologist specializing in Organizational Training and People Training).
