Pain in Rioja folklore: Camila Fernández passed away
Camila, who worked as Regional Coordinator of Nuevo Cuyo at the National Institute of Music (INAMU), had been fighting a tough battle against a serious illness, for which family and friends had requested prayer chains in recent days.
After a brave fight, the young artist from Rioja finally died this afternoon. Various actors from the Rioja cultural environment expressed their condolences and messages of support to her loved ones.
The Secretariat of Cultures of La Rioja, where Camila worked, shared an emotional message in her memory on social networks: “It is with deep regret that we say goodbye to Camila Fernández, an invaluable collaborator of our Ministry of Culture.
Cami was an exceptional colleague, always willing, with an unwavering spirit and passion in every task she undertook. Her connection with her music was constant, leaving an indelible mark in our hearts throughout her performances on various stages. In her last days, she proudly represented our region from the National Institute of Music, contributing her knowledge to the organization and logistics of our events.
Her departure leaves a huge void and sadness, depriving us of a young artist destined for a brilliant path, a successful career, as well as an unparalleled friend and companion. We are deeply sorry for this loss.
