These measures are generated from joint work with the Undersecretary of Assistance Networks and the Ministry of Health.

Aysén.- Since Monday, June 3, the Primary Emergency Care Service (SAPU) has reinforcement for medical care, a measure that will allow the opening of this emergency device, located at the CESFAM Dr. Alejandro Gutiérrez de 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
“This will allow us to serve more people at the community level, because SAPU not only serves users from the Alejandro Gutiérrez office, but from the entire community, and from today we advance the start of the SAPU day, which will begin at 5:00 p.m.: 00 hours until twelve at night,” reported Carolina Aros, SAPU coordinator nurse at CESFAM Dr. Alejandro Gutiérrez.
It is worth mentioning that Saturdays, Sundays and holidays are open continuously from 12:00 to 00:00.
It is important to consider that in winter viral circulation and demand for medical attention increases in the mornings for morbidity consultations and in the afternoons the emergency network is put under pressure, particularly in the cities of Coyhaique and Puerto Aysén.
“Thanks to the efforts of the director of the service, it has been possible to reinforce the medical hours in the SAPU in Coyhaique and in the CESFAM of Puerto Aysén, morbidity care will be reinforced in extended hours. This will increase the medical hours available during the day and especially in the afternoon so that the working population can access this care and thus satisfy their care needs, especially focused on the population of children and older adults who the most vulnerable groups,” said Dr. César Reguero, director(s) of Primary Emergency Care.
This is complemented by vaccination, which is also part of the efforts of the Aysén Health Service to reduce the effects of winter illnesses, particularly the consequences of influenza, which is the virus with the greatest circulation today.
