Mayors complained against the removal of transportation subsidies and presented a bill – ENREDACCIÓN – Córdoba

The mayor of Córdoba Capital, Daniel Passerini, together with his peers from the Federal Network of Mayors, presented a bill to modify the distribution of subsidies to the public transportation system. The axis of the initiative “seeks to reverse the inequitable distribution of transportation subsidies in the interior of the country, compared to those received by CABA and AMBA.”

Specifically, it consists of modifying the distribution of the fuel law fund, with the aim of increasing the resources sent to cities to solve the transportation system.

Mayor Passerini expressed that “we understand that if there is a political decision to end privileges, we will be there. This is a bad decision that has been made, because it is obstructing and eliminating rights. The caste does not travel by bus, students, workers, the people who are going to produce and move in a city travel by bus.”

He added that “we are representatives and we believe in politics. “We want to strengthen democracy but, fundamentally, we want federalism to begin to be the imprint that Argentine politics needs once and for all.”

Finally, he said that “we choose the path of dialogue so that this discussion takes place in the appropriate time and that we begin to balance the asymmetries that directly harm the citizens that we circumstantially represent.”
