Two commercial establishments affected and an injured 14-year-old boy left a fire in the urban area of ​​the municipality of Marinillaeastern Antioquia, where economic losses exceed 150 million pesos.

For more than two hours, a total of three fire extinguishing machines worked to control a serious conflagration. recorded this Tuesday afternoon in the urban area of ​​the municipality of Marinilla.

The flames originated in a furniture store on Carrera 35 and Calle 27A and affected another motorcycle business establishment. where spare parts such as tires and rims were also stored.

What happened to the fire in Marinilla?

According to Lieutenant Reinaldo Preciado, commander of the Marinilla Fire Department, A 14-year-old boy was also injured after falling from a second floor during the fire for which 12 fire units were present in the area.

“There is an injured person, a 14-year-old boy who fell from a second floor with a possible humerus fracture, superior member, they were attended to with three fire extinguishing machines and an ambulance,” said Preciado.

The causes of the emergency are the subject of investigation and after controlling the fire, losses of up to 80 million pesos could be determined in the furniture store, 60 million in the motorcycle establishment. and 15 more related to structural damage.
