The minor had escaped from his home in the Pamplona municipality, Norte de Santander, and after taking transport he arrived in Bucaramanga. The Police managed to locate him on Tuesday afternoon.

In a parking lot located on kilometer 2 of the road between Bucaramanga and Girón, a 13-year-old teenager who had disappeared in Pamplona, ​​Norte de Santander, was found at 5:00 pm this Tuesday, June 4.

The Bucaramanga Metropolitan Police reported that this minor, of his own free will and for unknown reasons, had left his home last Sunday, June 2, in the aforementioned municipality.

Since then, the child’s relatives and the authorities themselves began the search in which it was established that he got into a vehicle bound for the capital of Santander.

“Information was received from a person who observed the young man on Monday, June 3, boarding a blue turbo vehicle bound for the city of Bucaramanga,” reads the authorities’ report.

The minor, according to the information provided by his loved ones to the authorities, would have come to the metropolitan area of ​​Bucaramanga since he has a sister in Mesa de Los Santos.

Chief Mayor Oswaldo Sierra Barrera, of prevention, surveillance and control of Children and Adolescents of the Bucaramanga Metropolitan Police, indicated that once the incident was reported, the search began until it was found.

“Through the information provided, the location of a teenager who had escaped from his family in Pamplona, ​​Norte de Santander was achieved. Once located in a parking lot, he was transferred to the facilities of the Family Commissariat,” indicated the spokesperson for the institution.

The Police added that the teenager was transferred to the Family Police Station in the La Joya neighborhood for the process of reestablishing his rights and later for the reunion with his relatives.

“This procedure was carried out in accordance with the protocols established to guarantee the safety and well-being of the adolescent,” concluded the chief mayor.
