This Tuesday, ISA Intervial, ISA subsidiary in Chile, The tender to build and operate the ‘Sur Santiago Orbital Concession’ project was won, after having presented the best economic offer to the Ministry of Public Works.

This is the first urban road project that will promote ISA, with which it reaches a total of 1,106 kilometers of routes under construction and operation in Chile, Colombia and Panama.

The company will receive, on average, annual revenues of more than 46 million dollars, from the entry into operation of the project.

This project contemplates the execution of a new 25 kilometer urban highway that will connect the western area of ​​Greater Santiago with the current concessions Ruta 78, Ruta 5 Sur and Ruta 79, which will facilitate mobility in one of the main exits of the country’s capital.

The ‘South Santiago Orbital Concession’ It will improve connectivity, reinforce road safety and promote local economic development, which will positively impact people’s quality of life.

The design of this project includes interchanges, overpasses, pedestrian bridges and four pairs of Free Flow toll gantries, among other high-standard infrastructure works.

Furthermore, he highlighted that this project will contribute to the energy transition, facilitating the reduction of CO2 emissions of the vehicles that travel on ISA routes, which, thanks to the electronic collection system in the Free Flow mode, will not need to stop to make payment.

‘Santiago Orbital Concession’ has eight Free Flow collection gantries that will reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 400 grams per vehicle.
