A couple was the victim of a spectacular traffic accident on the Oriente Trunk yesterday morning, leaving one man dead and his partner seriously injured.
The victims were traveling on a motorcycle in the area of the La Aguja bridge, jurisdiction of the municipality of Zona Bananera, Magdalena, when they suffered the road accident.
Apparently, the couple was traveling on a motorcycle and on the curve, the man lost control and crossed into the opposite lane, colliding head-on with the tractor-trailer.
According to the authorities’ report, they suffered serious injuries, which caused the immediate death of the driver who was ejected to the side, when he hit a tractor-trailer on the important road through which hundreds of cargo vehicles travel daily. .
The affected person was affiliated by the community and drivers from the sector who took her to the local hospital, where she is currently being treated by specialists.
Personnel from the Transit and Transportation Section of the Magdalena Police attended to the incident and later the CTI was in charge of removing the body.
