In the last hours the Bucaramanga metropolitan police managed to locate a teenager who was reported missing in Pamplona three days ago.

The 13-year-old minor apparently left his home in the municipality of Norte de Santander without reporting his whereabouts. The young man allegedly has a mental health condition, he took a vehicle on the highway to Bucaramanga where he ended up in a parking lot.

“The timely intervention was possible thanks to the complaint of a family memberwho reported that the minor had boarded for Bucaramanga,” the authorities indicated.

The police activated the Safe Childhood care route to ensure the protection and safety of minors. “The teenager was found in a parking lot located on kilometer 2, via Bucaramanga to Girón.”

He is currently in the custody of the Family Police Station while his relatives meet with the minor, who was reported missing last Sunday, June 2.
