Radio Havana Cuba | They demand in Kazakhstan to remove Cuba from the US unilateral list

Kazakhstan-Cuba Friendship Association demanded the immediate removal of Cuba from the list that sponsors terrorism

Astana, June 4 (RHC) The Kazakhstan-Cuba Friendship Association demanded the immediate elimination of Cuba from the list of states that according to Washington sponsor terrorism, commented today the ambassador of the Caribbean nation in Astana, Oscar Santana.

The diplomat told Prensa Latina that he received at the diplomatic mission headquarters the president of the Kazakhstan-Cuba Friendship Association, Erkin Sarkenov, who gave him a statement condemning Cuba’s permanence on the illegal list.

The document states that the Cuban people have suffered for six decades the serious consequences of the US policy of economic, commercial and financial blockade, which hinders the economic development of the country and prevented the needs of the Cuban people from being met.

The reinstatement of Cuba to the illegal list of states supposedly sponsoring terrorism serves as an instrument of coercion and economic pressure against the Cuban people, the statement of the Kazakh friends points out.

Later the text recalls that Cuba has nothing to do with so-called terrorism, on the contrary, it has been a victim of terrorist actions coming from abroad.

And the inclusion of the Caribbean nation on that list represents a significant obstacle to its economic development, since anyone who does business with Cuba runs the risk of being sanctioned by the United States, the statement adds.

Finally, the text demands the immediate elimination of Cuba from the illegal list created unilaterally by the United States Department of State, as well as the lifting of all blockade measures against Cuba, Santana highlighted. (Source: Prensa Latina)
