In a quick procedure, the GEAM Division troops apprehended a 26-year-old young man on Tuesday who had marijuana (later proven in field work) on public roads, after he tried to escape police control.
In detail, the young man carried among his clothes 32 marijuana cigarettes, 13 unopened packages of cigarettes, two cell phones and cash. The boy, upon being surprised by motorists in Diagonal Sur and Baunaly, in the Capital, tried to escape on foot but was reached after a few meters. There, during the control, they found and seized the prohibited substances.
Digedrop intervened
From the Narcomenudeo Prosecutor’s Unit (UFINAR) they ordered the intervention of the staff of the General Directorate of Dangerous Drugs (Digedrop) and requested the background sheet of the young man, in an open case for alleged violation of Law No. 23,737 on Narcotic Drugs.
The motorcyclists were led by the head of this Division, Principal Officer Fabian Penalozaand supervised by the General Director of Citizen Prevention, Commissioner Inspector Sergio Juárez.
