In order to facilitate the mobility of travelers to and from the Isla de la Juventud special municipality in the summer, several measures were announced.

Maritime trips to and from Nueva Gerona will be covered by the Río Las Casas catamaran, while land trips will be provided by the buses of the National Bus Company. Routes will be offered to the province of Pinar del Río and destinations in the east of the country, with spaces reserved for Las Tunas, Bayamo and Santiago de Cuba, both the outbound and the

return.

It was specified that the buses are not scheduled to enter Holguín or arrive at Guantánamo. However, work is being done to offer packages that allow combining the Havana-Santiago service (of the intermodal route) with a subsequent departure to Holguín or Guantánamo. The sale of this service will be through physical points in the terminals.

From the 1st. July, the Perseverance ferry will leave at seven o’clock. on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from Nueva Gerona to Batabanó, with the return the same day at three in the afternoon.

Starting July 2, the Río Las Casas catamaran will depart at eight o’clock, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, from Nueva Gerona to Batabanó, with the return the same day, at 1:30 in the afternoon.

To cover the summer intermodal route, starting July 4, the Río Las Casas Catamaran will depart at eight o’clock on Thursdays in the months of July and August.
