Young man was captured for murdering a person who asked him not to sell drugs in front of his house in Bucaramanga

Carlos Alberto Verdugo Cárdenas, 18 years old, was captured for his alleged responsibility in the murder of Juan Camilo Pabón Pinzón, 22 years old, which occurred in the Villa Carmelo settlement, in the north of Bucaramanga, on March 4 .

Exactly three months after the murder of Juan Camilo Pabón Pinzón, 22 years old, the CTI of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Sijin of the Police managed to clarify the crime after the capture of the person responsible.

This is an 18-year-old young man, identified as Carlos Alberto Verdugo Cárdenas, who was arrested in the main park of the Claveriano neighborhood, in the north of Bucaramanga, on the morning of this Tuesday, June 4.

During the investigation, the authorities were able to establish that Juan Camilo was murdered after asking Carlos Alberto not to sell drugs in front of his house.

The events occurred on the night of Monday, March 4, when the victim was in his home in the Villa Carmelo settlement, north of the city, located in front of the field in that sector.

Juan Camilo Pabón Pinzón was 22 years old and worked as a construction assistant.

Around 10: pm on that tragic day, the deceased demanded that ‘Carlos’, as he was known at the time, not sell narcotic substances in the neighborhood. It is unknown how this claim was made.

“They argued for a couple of minutes with that young man, then he left the place, but a short time later he returned armed,” a friend of the victim told the authorities themselves.

Without saying a word, the 18-year-old shot Pabón Pinzón in the head.

The victim was left lying at the scene and was later taken by his loved ones to the Local Hospital del Norte. Once this happened, the gunman fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Due to his serious condition, Juan Camilo was sent to the HUS, where he died three days later.

The deceased made a living working as a construction helper and lived in the same neighborhood where the events occurred.

The accused murderer was placed at the disposal of the First Prosecutor’s Office of the Life Unit to answer for the crimes of aggravated homicide and illegal possession of firearms.
