Aircraft Claims at the ILO – Politics

The Argentine Association of Aeronauts (AAA), headed by Juan Pablo Brey, participated in two international meetings to bring the claims of the aeronautical sector and the agenda of a policy in defense of the sovereignty of the skies and of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

Thus, they were present at the meeting of the International Cabin Crew Committee of the International Transport Federation (ITF), in Amsterdam, and at the 112th International Labor Conference organized by the ILO in Geneva, Switzerland. There they spoke about the complex situation that the aeronautical industry is going through in our country. Brey, president of the committee for Latin America and the Caribbean, said: “We are not only doing our actions at the national level, but in the forums where we participate through the union, we are globalizing the agenda of the claims so that the defense that we We carry out the sovereignty of our skies.”

In addition, he highlighted the danger that jobs face in the face of “the absolute surrender of sovereignty represented by the open skies memoranda signed with the countries of the region.” And he highlighted the danger of the approval of the Basic Law for the sector, since “it puts our flag airline in a situation of possible privatization.”
